World of Darkness: City of Darkness - Manchester
So I have completed the first few chapters of my fan ebook for Manchester. So now the completed chapters covers the basic history and geography of Manchester, while the next two chapters covers the setting for Vampire, and details all the NPCs for the setting. Next up I am working on my ebook for Changeling: Venice. Right now this stands at two complete chapters covering the history of the city and the changeling setting. So yes... more NPCs. Hopefully along the way will make all my ST notes for Vampire available and start on the history chapter for Manchester: Mage.
Oh and here is the link for all the Vampire goodness.
p.s. I will update the cover at some point but for now the image above will suffice

Hey, I'm a Storyteller from the Saint Cloud region in Minnesota. I'm a huge fan of White Wolf and all the game's they have released (at least the ones that I have played in or looked over, which is most of them). I started out my gaming experience playing VtM and have been in love with the games ever since then. I currently am running a Changeling game right now at my local game shop (paddysgameshoppe.com) and am always interested in doing something more. I'm also playing in a Mage game that a friend of mine is running, playing a Moros Sphinx named Anubis, its a lot of fun. If any of you are in the Saint Cloud or even Minnesota gaming area, please drop me a line sometime.

New Hunter community
Based on the searchword in the back of Changeling: The Lost
, it's looking like the next World of Darkness game is going to be a remake of Hunter: The Reckoning
So I've started up a new community for discussion of it, which can be found at wod_hunter

With my Werewolf game being currently on ice, we've decided to give Mage a try for a while. We’ve already played through two sessions. As usual, I’m keeping a couple of files on the game, but they’re all in German. I'll try and translate everything to the best of my abilities and post the results to these threads, feel free to check them out. Rpg.netWhite Wolf message boardsShadownessence message boards
It's still a work in progress, and I intend to update the threads as often as possible.
Fool's Journey 0: The Fool
Characters are called to a local cliff. Its height doesn't really matter, as long as it's a fairly vertical drop and almost certainly fatal.
A body lies at the base of the cliff, in a relatively inaccessible area.
At the top of the cliff, right on the ledge looking over the body, is a circle marked into the ground. Its purpose is uncertain, but footprints clearly show the corpse at the bottom was standing in it before he walked off the edge. In reality, the circle is the number 0. As the characters stand near the 0, either to investigate it or to observe the body, they are unknowingly photographed. This could be an automatic camera or the murderer, made invisible. The shot will bear a passing resemblance to the classic Rider-Waite image of "The Fool
." This photo will be mailed to them sometime during the next week with the note "Fools." They'll probably be a little creeped out by being photographed without their knowledge, but will probably pass the "fool" comment off as an idle boast.
To the murderer, whom I will refer to as Trump, the characters identities aren't important: he will teach his "lesson" to those who show up to the crime scene, no matter who, and will continue until the Fool's Journey is complete roughly six months from now.
The best way to access the body, at least initially, is for someone to rappel down the cliff. Hopefully one of the characters will volunteer. As they proceed down, they will pass words which have been carved into the rock face:
The body is nothing special, although the set-up works better if it's someone the characters are at least passably familiar with. It's mostly the red herring to draw the characters to the scene. Current Mood: cheerful
Fool's Journey: A WOD Chronicle
This is an ongoing experiment with an idea I've had for a while, with heavy inspiration taken from "Se7en." In this case, the Tarot's Major Arcana are used.
This chronicle is intended as a mortals chronicle, specifically for characters in law enforcement, within a government agency, private investigators, or similar positions. Adjust to taste.
Each attack happens once a week, on Thursday ("It must be Thursday. I could never get the hang of Thursdays"). The second attack happens on a full moon, which is important for all sorts of astrological reasons. I say the second attack, because the first one is actually numbered 0, and is thus a sort of "prelude" to the rest.
The intent is for characters (representing the Fool) to gradually be made aware of the existence of the supernatural. They are taking the "Fool's Journey," the path to enlightenment (albeit the twisted enlightenment offered by the purveyor of this twisted passion play). This can serve many purposes, depending on where you want your chronicle to go. It can serve as a great way to segue the characters into become supernatural creatures themselves.
And so, we begin. Current Mood: bouncy

In search of the ultimate vamp geek . . .
Okay, so I have been out of the gaming loop for about 13 years - when did Vampire the Masquerade get changed to World of Darkness: The Requiem. Nevermind - that's not the important question here. This IS the important question:
In the original gaming books for VtM (or at least circa 1993) Aleister Crowley and John Dee were listed in the history as vampires with all their stats and back story etc. - Which book was this and does anyone have a copy of it handy? Short of this - does anyone know if they (particularly AC) is listed in the same manner in the newer books and if so does anyone have THAT handy?

The name of the fourth World of Darkness game has been confirmed: Promethean
. There may be a title ("Promethean: The Imbued" has been suggested by one forumite). However, it appears that WW will treat this much like Orpheus: a limited-run series of five or six books. Each year or two there will be a new "fourth game." If this is the case, all the limited-run games will likely have a single name, to distinguish them from the persistent games such as Vampire: The Requiem or Mage: The Awakening.
I've set up a discussion community for them: wod_promethean

Forgive the plug, everyone.
I've got a White Wolf Wiki
set up, and it needs your input. We really don't have any World of Darkness articles there right now. So if you're feeling up to it, go ahead and start adding.
There are some Age of Sorrows articles and a Trinity Universe timeline up, if you'd like to see the general format we're going for.
With your help, we can make this the most comprehensive White Wolf encyclopedia available! Current Mood: bouncy

Oregon Gaming Community
I am announcing the creation of a new community for Oregonians who roleplay: <lj user="wod_oregon". This is a community for people interested in roleplaying games especially White Wolf games to get together, discuss their favorite games, and to plan future adventures. Current Mood: amused
|Friday, March 18th, 2005|
So I'm thinking of writing up an adventure, and I think I'd like some input on it.
It'd mostly be a mortals-specific thing. Core WOD book only.
It'd be a "Seven
" type murder mystery for the WoD, except using the Major Arcana
of the tarot
. The further along investigators go, the more obvious it is that something otherworldly is afoot.
Details escape me right now, so any suggestions are welcome. I'd need an overall "goal" for the killings, an identity for the killer, and something for each of the killings. Seven did a good job of representing each of the seven sins. How should each murder be represented?
Thanks in advance. (: Current Mood: contemplative

New (old) Vampire LARP in Atlanta
I have taken over the Atlanta Vampire: The Masquerade Meetup Group
and am trying to promote it so that as many LARPing people in the area can get together.
I used to run a LARP for Vampire under the last system for about 2 and a half years and am now looking to start another story. But I would like to have an informal time just for as many of us to get together as we can, meet each other, talk about the new system, share ideas, whatnot.
The meetings are the second Fridays of the month in Midtown Atlanta.
Hope to see all there Current Mood: accomplished
